Silos Recreation Area sits along the western shore of Canyon Ferry Lake, roughly 7 miles north of Townsend off US Highway 287. Managed by Broadwater County under a Bureau of Reclamation lease, the campground offers 86 dry sites spread across five named loops, accommodating both tents and RVs. The facility includes five boat ramps, a marina with seasonal boat slips, four group pavilions, and handicapped-accessible restrooms. Fishing for walleye and trout draws many visitors, along with boating and water recreation on the reservoir.
